Returning to Yale University for YHack 2026, I led a hands-on technical workshop showing student builders how to combine AI coding agents with Solana's payment and tokenization primitives to ship a working fintech application over a single weekend. Most college hackers have strong full-stack instincts but get bogged down in unfamiliar blockchain boilerplate; by equipping them with curated Solana agent skills and modern TypeScript templates, teams were able to go from an empty repository to live devnet transactions in under an hour.

Across the weekend, I mentored student teams tackling programmable remittances, automated micro-treasuries, and agent-driven commerce. Seeing first-time Solana builders sweep some of the top hackathon submissions reinforced why investing in university hackathons and clean developer ergonomics pays off so quickly.
